Ordered a free trial($4.95s/h) skin cream from Pathos skin care of Sunrise, Fla.(Orlando). In the very fine print you sign up for a monthly program of $89.10 for less than an oz.

of skin cream. When you complain that you do not want it they say too bad we got you and then offer you a discount of $22.27. That makes them feel good and honest that they only stuck you by $66.83 for not seeing the fine print.

BBB has 34 complaints of the exact same thing submitted with them. This is a scam and they take advantage of unknowing customers.

Monetary Loss: $67.

Location: Newbury Park, California

This company is despicable!!! I was sent the trial for 4.95 and also the Derma Gen cream for 4.95 s/h.

I received the product but did not have an opportunity to try it as I was out of town for over a month. In the meantime they shipped me another order while I was away and two more orders after that without my consent. When I discovered they had debited my account for over $555 total, I nearly dropped!! I called them immediately using the contact number on my debit account.

They are almost impossible to reach. After a few calls and waiting a minimum of a half hour on each try, I finally reached someone who said they would credit the last shipment (Dec), November's shipment they would only credit 50% and October's shipment would not be credited at all and they would cancel my membership. I told them I never agreed to any membership. All the packages are unopened as are the samples.

I pleaded that I cannot afford this debit to my account as I'm on a fixed income. Need that money to pay my bills. The rep took my name and phone number and said a supervisor would call me back. That was Dec 30th....today is January 11th.

I've called again, and again, left my name and number, as their "call volume is always high"! They don't call back!! Called today again....this time I wasn't given the opportunity to leave my name and number....after a half hour they ended the call. Something has to be done about this company as soon as possible!!!

I'm ready to go to the media or worse "social media"!!

i have been trying to cancel my order and call the number ring once then hangs up i dont want this *** anymore stop sending it please!!!!!!!!!

Guest

I was under the impression that I could cancel at any time, not just within the 14 day trial period. When I received another shipment I called to cancel and wanted to return the product for a full refund.

Instead I was told I could only get 25% back and would have to pay for the rest. Now my account is cancelled, but I feel I have been robbed.

They did the same to me with Pearly White product. This company is a scam. They need to close down.

I had the same problem The free trail that cost $4.75 for shipment I tried it and the pump did not work and then I got charged $89.10 on my bank statement I called and they said it is not a sample (2oz) and tough, and hung up on me.

What a scam!!

I just called this company...same problem as everyone else. The kicker was when I told Amanda (4090) i was sending back the second bottle, unopened and not tampered with, she told me I would only be reimbursed 22.45 but my account would be cancelled.

I told her I was unsatisfied and wanted the full 89 dollars back. I went on to tell her that I threw the first bottle out because you could not even read the ingredients. I was foolish to be mislead with the first bottle but demanded payment for the second. She then told me I would get 44.90 back.

Still not good enough. I could kick myself for getting involved in this nonsense. It appears to be criminal! Please, anyone reading this....do not order this "trial" product for $4.95.

Biggest scam ever!!!!!!!!!

(I also know that Amanda 4090 is being paid to answer the calls and repeat...you agreed to the conditions...she also blocked my voice when I was speaking)

This company is entiry a scam. They offer you a free trial via Facebook, then send the 2oz cream, then a charge shows up on your credit card for 89.10. You speak to foreigners who can barely speak English, they are rude, refuse to give you a supervisors name or mailing address to complain!

Guest

I had the same problem but to my surprise the customer service department told me how to return the product and my money has been refunded back to my account

Guest

I am dealing with the same issues. One commentor indicated that if I mail bottle back that I can get a refund of the $89. Anybody done this successfully?

Guest

Same thing happened to me!!! I don't know why this site is still open!

yes we should all sue them, and I am not a sue happy person, but this is a total rip off.

Or better yet maybe Dr. Oz should send us all a check back, as you know he was part of it.

Guest

I sure now it's a ripped off deal how they fool a lot of customers. Let's sue all this companies!!!!!beware of this scambags!!!!!!!!!!!

Guest

don't touch my checking account when I order this you did not say it was $89.10 and it's not working. so I'm sending it back to you.

I was just ripped off with this "free" trial as well. Looks like their are numerous similar scams online, using different names, brands, etc.

One product listed a lock smith as the contact number on my credit card transaction report (for nearly $100 per product). The other number went to someone that said everything was cancelled, nothing to work about. Then they still charged my card. On their email (one with no company information, or contact information) I hit reply with the cancellation information.

They replied that it is cancelled, but still billed. I cancelled the credit card and reported the fraud.

The posting somehow transferred to my new card / card number - still working to get the fraudulent charges removed. NEVER again will I trust an online "free trail" offer.

This pathos skin care should be investigated to see how they scam people. Your free sample is not free and then they hit your account for 89.10.

They are truly crooks. The people who work there are very mean and ugly to people. They will give you back 22 dollars and keep the rest of your money. The product they sent to me had hardly anything in the bottle, in fact I complained that there was not even enough for 14 days the lady told me just a little bit.

Was not even a little bit. They probably sent me some return and believe me there could not even be a half ounce.

How do these kind of people get away with scamming us. I wish there was away we could let people know about this crooked company that scams people.

Same thing happened to me!!! I don't know why this site is still open!

I talked to Ray and he said my account was cancelled and I would get a full refund and not to send the product back! When after 3 weeks I hadn't received I called again and spoke to Tyler which said I had 3 accounts open!

I only ordered the trial once and when I said that I wanted my money back I was told I was past the trial date and would only get half my money back!!! Learned an expensive lesson but I guess half is better than none!

Very helpful and courteous customer service!

It's common for companies to hide the continued shipment information when you sign up for a trial sample.

I used my trial sample and thought nothing of it, a while later I received another shipment. I didn't open the packages, I went on-line and got this customer service number # 1-87*-***-****.

The customer service representative that I spoke with was very courteous, he of course suggested that I keep what I just received and he'd give me 1/2 of my money back. ( it's only good business to try to get the customer to keep it and not return all the money) I wasn't interested in that arrangement however, and asked to return it all and receive a full refund. He said, of course, he gave me a return authorization number and full instructions on how to return it.

He was very polite and helpful. Regardless of how I felt about the product, he made the return easier than I had expected.

Perhaps because I was very polite in requesting my return.

FYI, in case you are wondering, I am a real customer, not someone paid by Pathos to say these things. I read so many negative posts I felt I just had to share my experience.

Yeah well I just called your 1-87*-***-**** # and it was listed as an incorrect # So, now what??????

Guest

OMG--WTF!!! Guess what I got in the mail today??

Yep, another tiny bottle of this scam product with no actual invoice in the envelope! Had to find this website to find the phone number to call & demand they cancel "the program I unknowingly signed up for when I ordered my free sample"!! Spoke with Amanda & she started reciting her scripted response to my cancellation. Yes, it's true, you only get 25% refund of the $89.xx fee the charged my cc!!!

Whatever! I'm soo irritated I could spit!
